About

De Camille is a professional visual artist whose work captures the emotional language of the sea through luminous, multidimensional abstract seascapes. With over 30 years of experience and formal training in England, Paris, and California, De Camille’s distinctive collections — Porthole and Ocean Bliss Art — are meditative visual experiences designed to invite stillness, presence, and emotional balance. Inspired by her deep roots in the Caribbean, Oregon, and California, her work is a personal exploration of beauty, peace, and transformation through water and light. De Camille’s paintings are created using a unique layering process of iridescent and opalescent acrylics beneath richly textured oil paints. Recently, she has introduced over 3 carats of genuine diamonds into the surface of each piece, adding a luxurious and striking visual element that enhances the feeling of transcendence and wonder. Her Porthole Collection, inspired by the view from a cruise ship cabin, is a metaphor for the journey of life and the calm found in the present moment. These round-format works are framed in vintage-inspired Art Deco-style champagne/pewter frames, available in sizes from 10” to 20”. De Camille’s work is widely collected and exhibited, both nationally and internationally, with solo shows in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and Montmartre in Paris. Her paintings are featured in public collections, including Providence and Randall Children’s Hospitals, and over 100 of her signature Porthole works are permanently displayed aboard five luxury cruise ships. Her collections have received media recognition from People Magazine, Coastal Lifestyle, the Positive Vibes TV show, and upcoming publications in Lake Oswego and coastal regional outlets. De Camille works full-time in her studio and welcomes commissions. She is known for her professionalism, timely delivery, and the ability to tailor her work to meet the emotional and aesthetic needs of both individual collectors and gallery clients.
